Vampire Facial

You may have heard of the Vampire Facial, the newest skincare craze popularized by reality TV personalities. However, the actual operation is much less frightening than it seems, and anyone may get it—not just famous people. In the Vampire Facial, often called micro-needling with PRP, blood is drawn from the arm, platelets are separated, and then put back onto the face. This process is becoming increasingly well-liked since it offers various advantages, including skin that looks younger. If you want to find professionals who offer the best Vampire Facials in Kitchener Waterloo (KW), Sunshine Cosmetic Clinic and Medi Spa will be happy to help you book a free consulting session.

What is Vampire Facial?

Micro-needling and platelet-rich plasma are used in a Vampire Facial (PRP). In micro-needling, the skin is pierced with tiny, delicate needles. The pinpricks “injure” the skin, causing it to create elastin and collagen to repair itself and allow the PRP to penetrate deeper. PRP is applied topically to your skin following the completion of the micro-needling.

What does Vampire Facial do?

A vampire facelift, also known as a platelet-rich plasma facelift, is a cosmetic operation that may help combat the effects of aging by using the patient’s blood.

After taking blood from your arm, the doctor will use a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the rest of the blood. After that, platelet-rich plasma and a hyaluronic acid filler like Juvederm will be injected (PRP).

The process can:

  • Help fade acne scars
  • Minimize wrinkles
  • Radiate dingy skin

A vampire facelift is safe for people of any age, although it’s not advised if you have skin cancer, are on a blood thinner, or have any blood-related illnesses like HIV or hepatitis C.

How does a Vampire Facial work?

The steps for most vampire facelifts are as follows:

  • The doctor will first cleanse your skin. Additionally, they’ll probably use a topical numbing cream
  • Then, they will take blood from your arm (as little as 2 tablespoons). Some medical professionals might decide to start by injecting filler into the face’s deep creases and wrinkles
  • A centrifuge will be used to spin the blood. PRP is separated from the rest of the blood in this way

After the numbing lotion has worn off and the skin has healed from the micro-needling, the expert will apply the PRP. It should stay on the skin for the rest of the day to get the best results. For the first few days following treatment, patients will experience dry, red, sensitive skin that looks and feels somewhat sunburned.

Where can Vampire Facial be used?

Vampire facelifts target the face specifically, but PRP can also be applied to other body parts. For example, research shows that PRP may also treat tendons and other severe sports injuries, stimulate hair growth, and ease osteoarthritis. Additionally, vampire breast lifts exist.

Who is a good candidate for Vampire Facial?

Almost everyone qualifies for PRP micro-needling. Those with fine lines and wrinkles, significant sun damage, or uneven skin may look younger after this surgery. If you have a history of blood issues such as bleeding or clotting abnormalities, you might not be an ideal candidate.

FAQ's

A vampire facelift is safe for people of any age, although it’s not advised if you have skin cancer, are on a blood thinner, or have any blood-related illnesses like HIV or hepatitis C.
In particular, the area around the lips and eyes hurt a lot. It is because the warm, sticky plasma is generally absorbed in the moments following the needling. This will subside shortly.
You can return to your regular schedule after the PRP is allowed to be on your face for 12 to 24 hours for maximal absorption. Although this resolves fast, you might experience some redness, skin tightness, and minor bruising.
You will require multiple treatments to achieve your desired results, just like with other forms of micro-needling. Most people require three to six sessions, with one session occurring every four weeks or so.
The procedure typically lasts 45 to 60 minutes..
The effects of a Vampire Facial can be seen within a few weeks, but they become more apparent after six months and can continue up to 18 months.
The filler’s immediate plumping effects will be noticeable, and the PRP’s glow and evenness will appear after two to three weeks. The average lifespan of results is 1 year, but they can last up to 18 months.
Although a vampire facelift costs vary, it typically ranges from $1,500 to $2,500. Depending on how much filler is required, it might cost $3,000 in some circumstances.
